Arguably the most collectible Yankee of all time, although a couple guys called Ruth and Gehrig might care to object, it is becoming quite clear that Mickey Mantle baseball cards offered in high-grade will continue to increase in popularity and demand. The tendered specimen hails from the 1966 Topps release, and has emerged from the PSA grading chambers with a NM/MT 8 assessment. This one offers nearly unimprovable clarity and contrast in the central image, framed by sparkling white borders and corners that meet or exceed the parameters for the grade. A very slight centering inclination for the lower edge most likely prevents a more advanced assessment, but this is clearly a top-notch specimen worthy of inclusion in most any 1966 Topps baseball set.
