The Detroit Tigers have a long and storied history of legendary players, from Honus Wagner and Ty Cobb to Justin Verlander and Miguel Cabrera, with many more in between. One such player ranking near the top of the list is Hall of Famer Al Kaline. Considered by many to be the greatest player to come from Baltimore since Babe Ruth, Kaline was a 3,000-hit member with 399 career homers to go with his 10 Gold Glove Awards. And he was the youngest American League batting champion in baseball history, posting a .340 clip at the age of 20 in 1955. The featured game-used flannel away jersey was worn by "Mr. Tiger" during the 1966 season, a campaign that saw him slam 29 homers en route to one of his 18 all-star game appearances. The jersey has a MacGregor size 44 label inside the collar, with the appropriate MacGregor "Set 1 1966" and laundry instructions inside the tail. Kaline has autographed the jersey in black marker. An amazing piece of baseball history, originating from one of the greatest players to ever take the diamond in "The Motor City." LOA from MEARS graded A10 and Mile High Card Company.
