Several key Hall of Famers make their debut in the magnificent 1965 Topps series but the Steve Carlton debut card stands in the forefront as PSA has seen close to 6,000 submissions with only 7 copies grading higher. This one features many GEM MINT qualities and unblemished white borders that offer tremendous visual appeal in contrast with the deep black frame that surrounds Carlton and the other guy. It's not at all clear what keeps this one from joining the other seven at the GEM MINT level but it couldn't have missed by much!
