Up for auction is a profoundly sharp example of Pete Rose's 1963 Topps rookie issue that has been accurately graded SGC 88 NM/MT 8 but presents better. NM/MT+ to MINT corners and edges surround a brilliant image that moderately favors the bottom edge, hardly noticeable but enough to prevent a higher grade. The surface is predominantly clean in all quadrants front and back, and chipping on the blue edges is practically non-existent. An SGC 88 card with the look of an SGC 92.
