Once part of the prestigious Dmitri Young collection, Hall of Famer Joe Torre is introduced on this 1962 Topps rookie card, the one and only specimen to earn the grade of PSA 10. While the centering and image quality is as expected for any GEM MINT candidate, what really makes this one unique to all others that have tried for the top spot is the strength of the perimeter, which has somehow survived without even a speck of chipping along the wear-inviting wood-grained border. The reverse is, in a word, perfect. A Hall of Famer that's also a one of one at the PSA 10 level? That makes for a huge advantage for any 1962 Topps set-builder represented on the PSA Set Registry.
