Featuring the colorful artwork of artist Norm Saunders, as well as three others, the set is characterized by gruesome depictions of blood, violence and death, and the overall atrocities of warfare. Reverses offer a description of a person, battle or campaign summarized in newspaper form, complete with a headline.
