Topps always had a reputation for vastly changing their design concept from one year to the next and when the 1962 Topps baseball set was released, collectors were treated to something completely different. Perhaps inspired by the old 1955 Bowman series, the '62 Topps collection features a vulnerable, wood-simulated border that some may find monotonous but others view as a formidable challenge. This complete set is really impressive, clocking in at roughly 15% NM/MT or better, 45% NM, 15% EX/MT, 15% EX and 10% lower with eight SGC graded cards: 86 NM+ 7.5 - #350 F. Robinson and 544 McCovey. 84 NM 7 - #25 Banks, 70 Killebrew, 199 Perry, 300 Mays and 471 Mantle AS, and 80 EX/NM 6 #50 Stan Musial.
