Certainly one of the most colorful collections of any series ever produced by Fleer, the 1962 football set is led by Jack Kemp, George Blanda, Don Maynard and the rookie card of Hall of Famer Billy Shaw. As with several other incredible offerings in this action, it's extremely difficult to come across even a single unopened pack of 1962 Fleer football cards, much less a near full box of 19 like what is being offered here. Each pack has been examined and authenticated by unopened material expert Steve Hart (BBCE) and evaluated to be NM/MT. Like many early 60's football sets, this series has produced an alarmingly low number of GEM MINT examples on the PSA population report with just 66 cards, slightly over 1% of all submissions, reaching PSA 10 status. But aside from that, it's the unopened packs from this particular collection that are a premium.
