Fleer followed up their 1960 "Baseball Greats" collection by expanding the '61 series to 154 cards, and with Ted Williams' retirement in 1960, the set was entirely devoted to past legends. While unopened packs from this set pop up from time to time, this near full box of 20 unopened packs with the original display box and original Dubble Bubble insert is an opportunity that never comes around. Steve Hart (BBCE) has evaluated the packs, grading them to be NM/MT, and included a Letter of Authenticity from BBCE. Only 90 cards from the entire 1961 Fleer series have achieved a grade of PSA 10 with the popular card #1 Baker/Cobb/Wheat, 28 Foxx, 31 Gehrig, 75 Ruth and 152 T. Williams still sitting at zero. Perhaps the very first GEM MINT example of those cards and many others are waiting to be discovered. At any rate, this is a fabulous group of pristine packs!
