Extremely difficult to find individually, in any grade, the popularity of the 31-card 1959 Kahn's set led to the production of five more football sets dating up to 1964. Here's a group of eight cards from the inaugural Kahn's football series that immediately makes the winning bidder a frontrunner toward building the finest set known. All five 96 MINT 9 specimens on the SGC pop report (Dodrill, Michaels, Lewis, Mitchell, and the only football card ever produced of Chuck Noll as a player) are joined by three SGC 88 NM/MT 8 cards (each the only examples ever graded by SGC in Costello, Glick and Sandusky) to form the beginnings of a set that could be unreachable to the competition.
