Still adjusting to their first season on the west coast, the Los Angeles Dodgers had a disappointing 71-83 record. But their stockpile of future Hall of Famers would make their presence felt the following year, returning to the top of the National League standings the following year and taking the World Series from the "Go-Go" Chicago White Sox in 6 games. The featured Official National League Warren Giles baseball displays 25 bold, green ink signatures from the 1958 Dodgers team on a yellow-toned ball that appears to have a light layer of shellac. Baseball greats Duke Snider, Gil Hodges and Pee Wee Reese are all on the same panel, with a second signing of Reese and Don Drysdale on an adjacent side panel. Other signatures include Lillis, Furillo, Bilko, Larker, Roseboro, Labine, Valo, Zimmer, McDevitt, Podres, Cimoli, Kipp, Pignatano, Birrer, Neal, Gilliam, and others. LOA from JSA.
