An interesting and difficult 66-card series that features Hall of Famers Richie Ashburn (#10), Larry Doby (#17), Pee Wee Reese (#23), Willie Mays (#25), Bill Mazeroski (#36), Hank Aaron (#44), Don Drysdale (#55) and Duke Snider (#61), 1958 Hires Root Beer cards with the attached tabs that feature a mail-in offer are much more difficult to find than just the card alone. But not only is this offering a complete PSA graded set with tabs; it ranks #2 on the PSA Current and All-Time Set Registry with an 8.80 overall GPA. The cornerstone of this set is the PSA 9 card of Willie Mays, one of only 2 specimens to be graded MINT with none graded higher. Other "one of one" prizes in this collection are #28 Simmons PSA 8, 73 Worthington PSA 9 and #66 George Zuverink, one of just three cards in the entire series to grade PSA 10 out of over 3,000 total submissions. In addition to the Mays, there are 28 other specimens ranking at the very highest grade in existence, including #23 Reese PSA 8, 36 Mazeroski PSA 9, 44 Hank Aaron PSA 8, 61 Duke Snider PSA 8.5 and 67 Kluszewski PSA 9.
