Though the series features three of the most collected football rookie cards ever made, the debut of Johnny Unitas stands above virtually all others to gridiron aficionados. The first thing the admiring enthusiast encounters is the incredible boldness of the orange and green background, thoroughly saturating the pasteboard and free from print overrun. Corner and edge sharpness are befitting of an even higher assessment while the only discernable flaw, if you can really call it that, is the slightest centering bias toward the top horizontal edge. For the grade, this is one of the freshest pieces we've seen!
