An appealing PSA 8 NM/MT example of the notoriously challenging 1955 Topps Duke Snider high-number issue, the final card of the 1955 Topps set. Nearly 1,000 examples have been submitted to PSA for grading, and only 2 examples have ever exceeded the presented specimen in each of the 2 superior grading tiers, NM/MT+ 8.5 and MINT 9; there are no GEM MINT 10s. With hardly more than 50 examples available in the offered grade, these numbers are nearly identical to scores of other issues from the same set that report fewer than 300 total examples on record at PSA; it's that tough! NM/MT corners join attractively rough-cut NM/MT to NM/MT+ edges around an accurately registered NM/MT obverse that displays some scattered but grade-appropriate print dust and a centering preference that subtly favors the south and west borders, well within the confines of the opined evaluation. A very stalwart PSA 8 NM/MT example of a key 1955 Topps issue that rivals, in top grades, even the famous Sandy Koufax and Roberto Clemente rookie issues from the same set.
