Graded NM/MT+ 8.5 by SGC. Presented is a truly astounding and awe inspiring rookie collectible of the great ballplayer and man, Roberto Clemente. First inspection reveals a wonderfully deep emblazoned image of the young star at the onset of his Hall Of Fame career with a three dimensional appearance highlighted by subtle differences in hue and shading of the dark skin colors that are present. The sliding scale of green offered in the background offers a perfect palate for the darker images of the immensely talented player as well as the dark black of the Pirate batting helmet. The red name plate that stretches along the bottom combines with the aforementioned colors to create a feast for the senses. The surface is a glossy smooth ensemble that is captivated by the exceptional registration and print free appearance. The image is held within bright white borders that perfectly frame the image as well as four strong upper end NM/MT+ or better corners that elevate this card to the limits of the opined assessment and border on being MINT. The reverse is more than equal to its task of completion with a blemish free look that seemingly puts the finishing touches on this wonderful specimen.
