One of the "big three" rookie cards from the 1954 Topps set, along with Al Kaline and Hank Aaron of course, is this fantastic high-grade copy of "Mr. Cub's" notoriously challenging rookie issue. This important debut pasteboard almost always comes off-center, primarily toward the top edge. This one favors the north as well, but it's very slight and far superior to the large majority of specimens. But with the corners and edges meeting or exceeding NM/MT standards and a front surface displaying impressive accuracy of the image as well as the clean, virtually print free white backdrop, this is an uncommonly sharp example worthy of the exclusive grade and a prime candidate to add to a PSA Set Registry worthy collection.
