Graded MINT 96 (9) by SGC. Just how much hype would a player get today for hitting .362 with 22 homeruns and 125 RBI’s and leading his league in runs scored in the minor leagues before getting to the Major Leagues? We’ll that is exactly what Hank Aaron did at the age of 19! The offered collectible was issued by Topps as part of their 1954 issue and has been at the forefront of collectors thoughts ever since the hobby exploded in the 1970’s. A recently graded gem by the always difficult New Jersey based grading organization, SGC, comes this immense treasure of a sportscard. A perfectly centered image and four purely perfect corners highlight this wonderful rendition of “Hamerin Hank’s” rookie card! The level of original gloss seems almost too good to be true with a scintillating layer spread across the surface of this regal pasteboard. The color is potent with a perfectly hued burnt orange acting as the background to a perfectly focused image of the young slugger. The reverse is chip free and mirrors the front of the card at a level of perfection. Presented in outstanding high level MINT condition and coming with my strongest recommendation!
