Steadily increasing among collectors in both value and esteem, offered is a stalwart and presentable example of Hank Aaron's 1954 Topps rookie issue that has been assessed at the NM/MT 8 level by the cardboard mavens at PSA. A reassuringly rough-cut and thoroughly NM/MT perimeter encompasses a precisely registered obverse that marginally favors the right border. While not perfect, the centering, one of the biggest challenges to the 1954 Topps issue, is still square and accurate enough for consideration in the MINT range. The image itself, likewise, presents far better than is suggested by the opined grade, diminished from perfection by a microdot or two of print on Hank's temple and a quarter-inch roller line extending from the right border into Hank's blue Braves cap. Apart from these expected characteristics as well as its uniform NM/MT perimeter wear, the only other attribute adding to the NM/MT opinion is a minor stock blemish about half way down the left border. Among the top-five post-war HOF rookie issues produced, and an absolute necessity in any respectable high-grade HOF collection.
