Hank Aaron rookie cards in top grade have gone the way of the '52 Topps Mantle, but you can still land a really attractive mid-grade example that won't be priced like a three bedroom house in suburbia. The presented example of Hank Aaron's 1954 Topps rookie issue has been graded SGC 80 EX/MT 6 but displays a number of superior virtues for its technically correct but seemingly conservative grade. Fantastic color and rugged rough cut edges are the first thing that is readily noticed, followed by the extremely accurate centering. The corners and edges are at or slightly above the EX/MT level, giving this card an overall "thumbs-up" as a strong, upper level example for the grade.
