A spectacular 2nd year card depicting a truly flawless lithograph image of the "Commerce Comet", bursting with eye appeal and a fine array of colored hues which help place it in it's upper end grade category. The consistent creamy white borders are slightly centered towards the top border, and the corners exhibit only faint wear, most likely accounting for the technical assessment that falls just shy of the NM-MT 8 grade. All early 1950’s Mantle cards have a special place in the hearts of collectors, especially this classic 2nd year Topps masterpiece which continues to draw the interest of collectors both young and old. Incredible Near Mint+ condition.
