This is probably the sharpest 1953 Topps Mantle you'll ever see in a grade of SGC 40 VG 3. A faint wrinkle, not visible on the reverse, runs from the center of the bottom edge northeast to just below center of the right edge, limiting the grade on a card that would otherwise grade a full two to three points higher. The image quality rivals NM/MT examples and the corners, edges and centering are at least at the VG/EX to EX level if not better.
