Displaying the same image used for the 1954 Dan-Dee and 1955 Stahl-Meyer sets, here's the original 1953 Stahl-Meyer card of Mickey Mantle, one of the toughest and most attractive of all Mantle cards as well as one of the most difficult to find in any grade. Stahl-Meyer cards were distributed in the New York area only, one card per package, with Stahl-Meyer hot dogs. Almost always encountered with serious condition problems, it's a major accomplishment for any Mantle collector to add one to their collection, even in rock bottom grade like the one featured here.
