Graded GOOD+ 35(2.5) by SGC. Offered is the defining card of all hobbyists in our vocation. I vividly remember the very first time that I bought a 1952 Topps #311 Mickey Mantle, I was in college and I had gone to buy a large (for me at that time) collection and I knew there was a 1952 Topps Mantle in the collection, once the deal was complete and I was on my way home I kept taking the Mantle out and flicking on the dome light in the car to take another peek at it, obviously not very safe but it really shows how important this card is to any collector! The offered example boasts an exceptional well detailed and nearly perfectly focused image of the young Oklahoman. The color is astounding with a convergence of aqua blue as well as the life like flesh tones that catapult this card to the height of the opined grade. The surface is void of any creasing but does have two small indention's around the subjects mouth as well as in the name plate. The centering shows an obvious lean towards the right edge while each of the corners show moderate to slightly heavier wear from the advances of 65 years. A tremendous lower grade example that will be the pride of the next owners collection!
