The battle for baseball card supremacy had begun, as upstart Topps aimed to tap into Bowman's cardboard empire in 1952. Presented is the 1952 display box released by Bowman, which housed a popular second year issue of Mickey Mantle (not as popular as Topps' 52 Mantle, however). The free standing box top has experienced some insignificant creasing, emanating from the corners toward the middle, as well as moderate wear on the corners and edges, yet still maintains a fresh appearance and fits well around the bottom half. Even among the other rare display boxes offered in this auction, this one is truly special!
