The Grand Rapids, MI. born fighter rose to stardom in the early part of the twentieth century and fought a legendary match against Jack Johnson who outweighed the Middleweight Champ by 25 pounds. Murdered by a jealous boyfriend in 1910, Ketchell was elected to the boxing HOF in 1990.
