In the late winter or early spring of 1952, Parkhurst was running out of wrappers for their inaugural hockey release, which were actually small boxes. Under strict financial constraints, the company decided to make the boxes from their existing supply of uncut sheets. Offered is one of those sheets featuring the first appearances on cardboard of both Gordie Howe as well as Red Kelly. The box (sheet) appears in VG/EX to EX condition with some evident fold lines as well as slits affecting the cards including the Howe card. The top of the sheet has a small blemish that most likely is a result of being the area on the box that had an adhesive on it to close the box. A great opportunity to acquire a fascinating collectible featuring two Hall of Fame rookies.
