Space Patrol was an American science fiction series set in the 30th century, aimed at younger audiences via television, radio and comic books. The program debuted on ABC in 1950 and ran through 1955 and by 1954 was consistently in the top 10 most viewed shows on Saturday mornings. Chex Cereal produced a 40-card set depicting certain aspects of the production, which were inserted into boxes of Wheat Chex and Rice Chex, a group of (14) being offered here. Somewhat reminiscent of the Jets, Rockets and Spacemen set released by Bowman in 1950, this subset comprises the Rockets, Jets, and Weapons series listed on the card backs. Cards are overall NM to NM-MT with the exception of some centering issues, and the Danger-Meteor Shower card appears to show some product staining on the reverse.
