Graded MINT 88(8) by SGC. The featured card was issued just 4 years after one of Ted Williams' most interesting accomplishments. In the 1946 All Star game he belted a home run off of Rip Sewell's notorious eephus pitch. Williams dared Sewell to throw the pitch and when he threw it a second time Williams blasted it over the right field wall. In that game he went 4-4 with two home runs and five RBI's. Bright attention-demanding color as well as a perfectly focused image are the first attributes to claim the onlooker's attention. The card is centered precisely with bright white borders leading to four pin point corners that are well defined masterpieces with no interruption or wear. The surface is contained under a regal landscape of gloss that accentuates the already intense color. The edges are clean, uninterrupted lines of exquisite detail. The reverse is pleasingly printed with no hindrance evident. A powerful card of one of the greatest players of all time delivered in stunning NM/MT bordering on MINT condition.
