Even with the 1950 Bowman set being loaded with a slew of rookie cards, many collectors tag the pasteboard of "Slingin," Sammy Baugh as their favorite in the series. Baugh made his debut in the black and white '48 set, but it's the extreme contrast of colors, from the maroon uniform to the gold jersey numbers to the subtle green backdrop, that places the 1950 Bowman Baugh up there with the rookie cards of fellow gunslingers Y. A. Tittle and Otto Graham. The featured card is one of only 3 to score a grade of PSA 9 MINT and the incredibly near perfect corners and absolute dead-on centering are the primary reasons for the rarely seen grade.
