This is a scarce 7 inch ceramic bank of Chief Wahoo, produced by Stanford Pottery in 1948. The good Chief was then, and remains today, the politically incorrect mascot for the Cleveland Indians, who captured just their second World Series in 1948, and none since. The offered collectible bank, while fully intact, has a tiny chip on the left side of his hair and exhibits some age toning and/or dirtiness, mostly at its base. EX/EX-MT condition.
