Graded NM/MT+ 8.5 by GAI. At the time of this card's issue Ruth was gravely ill, yet Leaf Gum Inc. showed signs of a true business accoutrement knowing that if one person could help sell product from the company's inaugural release it was without question, The Babe! The offered card presents at the very top of the opined grade with a stellar red background surrounding the immortal image of "The Sultan of Swat." As well, the four corners are precise in their appearance with each forming exact angles. The centering is above reproach and lifts this card to the next level. There are no print imperfections and the card offers an image that is exactly focused with considerable depth of the central figure. The reverse is well imaged with absolutely no imperfections. An outstanding example offered at the top end of the grade.
