The offered lot consists of something none of us at Mile High have ever seen before! While at the 2017 National Sports Collectors Convention in Chicago, our consignor approached us with four packs of gum wrapped in 1948 Leaf wrappers, which we are splitting into two lots of two each in order to provide additional opportunities for our bidders. These packs each contain one stick of bubble gum, wrapped and sealed in a segment of what the company would use for both their 1948 baseball and football issues. We believe these packs were samples that were handed out by retailers and vendors to encourage purchase of the wax packs that contained the cards. Each pack is 3" long and 7/8" wide, in solid NM/MT or better condition with no rips or tears. Again, this lot contains two of the four pieces given to us at the show, so if you want all four, don't forget to bid on the other lot as well! After all, it's extremely unlikely that you'll ever encounter these again!
