The 1941 Play Ball card of Hall of Famer Mel Ott is one of those issues that can be tracked down at a grade of PSA 8 with a little due diligence, but finding one that surpasses the NM/MT level is like trying to get a photo of the Lock Ness Monster. Well, we've got the hard evidence right here with this incredible PSA 8.5 copy, the only one in existence with just 3 graded higher. Dead-centered with nearly pristine front and back surfaces, this beauty falls just a hair short of MINT status, at least in the eyes of PSA, but significantly improves any top-level collection.
