While the colorized 1941 Play Ball set is primarily known for issues of Ted Williams and Joe DiMaggio, there are a slew of Hall of Famers featured, one of which is Detroit Tigers home run specialist Hank Greenberg. Presented is one of the finest specimens from the entire set that you will ever come across, an SGC 96 MINT 9 card of Hank Greenberg that is almost perfectly centered. Each corner proudly stands up to the MINT classification with two of the corners reaching above to MINT+ status and approaching GEM MINT. The well-printed surface has one small print dot at the lower left of the green backdrop, probably taking it out of contention for a GEM MINT rating but not significant enough to prevent this rare beauty from finding a home in a MINT holder. This is a specimen specifically targeted for the high-end collector that demands the very best.
