Twelve of the 24 cards, exactly half of the set, are "one of one" examples with five others that are at the highest grade ever issued. With a set rating of 8.92, this collection is nearly a full point and a half ahead of its next closest competitor. Included are stunning representations of Joe DiMaggio, Jimmie Foxx, Bob Feller, Hank Greenberg, Mel Ott, and several other Hall of Famers, all of whose images exude an unusually pleasing mix of vintage and modern aesthetics. Only six cards from this series have graded PSA 9 and five of them are included in this collection: Bob Feller, Jimmie Foxx, Lefty Gomez, Ernie Lombardi and Al Simmons. DiMaggio is graded PSA 7, one of three to earn the NM grade with none graded higher, and Mel Ott is graded PSA 6, sharing the spot with three others as the highest ever graded by PSA.
