The 1939 Baseball Centennial, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the "birth" of baseball, was a year-long celebration bolstered by the dedication of the Major League Baseball Hall of Fame on the 12th of June that same year. Offered here is a full unused Ticket for the "Cavalcade of Baseball" dedication ceremonies to be held at Doubleday Field. This very rare and important ticket is fully intact, while measuring approximately 8" x 2 3/4", and depicts an illustration of both the Hall of Fame and of Abner Doubleday. The offered specimen was submitted to PSA for grading and received an extremely harsh assessment of Good 2 due to a couple of creases only visible from the reverse, that were likely caused by someone folding it in order to fit it in their pocket. Otherwise this historic memento would grade minimally in Excellent condition. A truly rare and unique offering!
