Frank Buck was an American hunter, animal collector and author, who made several journeys to Asia beginning in the 1910s for the purpose of gathering exotic animal species and returning them to the United States for zoos and circuses. He co-authored seven books chronicling his expeditions, the most popular of which was published in 1930, entitled "Bring 'em Back Alive." Offered here is a complete set of the original Frank Buck "Bring 'em Back Alive" cards issued in 1938 by Gumakers of America, based in Clifton Heights, Pennsylvania. The set consists of 48 cards, with colorful, detailed artwork on the front and a story about a particular occurrence on the reverse.
