Hall of Famer Charley Gehringer, known in some circles as the Mechanical Man, is the subject of this 1938 Goudey baseball card, which has been graded NM/MT 8 by PSA. With NM/MT to NM/MT+ corners and a crisply detailed image that is rife with fresh-looking colors, this example is at the top of the charts, as only one other copy has graded higher at PSA, by a scant half-point. Centering mildly favors the left but overall visual appeal is tremendous. A fine specimen, worthy of inclusion in any advanced collection.
