A scarcely offered issue from the mid-1930s with images credited to Hal Horne of Disney fame, on the auction block is a complete 24-card set of "Film Funnies." The issue depicts famous actors and actresses of the era in comical situations, with a question or statement on the front and a list of five possible responses on the reverse. Apparently the idea was to pick what you think is the best one and submit it to the prize contest described on the wrapper. This is the Type I version of the cards, with "Can You Tell?" printed on the front rather than the celebrity's name. Condition is overall GOOD to VG with card #10 displaying back damage.
