"The Yankee Clipper" Joe DiMaggio was only an 18 year old when he posed for this Acme Newspapers Inc. photo but his 28 homers and .340 batting with the Seals made him the logical replacement to the aging Babe Ruth as Lou Gehrig's future sidekick. This is the very pose used for DiMaggio's rare 1935 Pebble Beach Clothiers minor league card.
