Presented is a satisfying pasteboard of the greatest player to have ever played the game, one of a quartet of Ruth cards from the iconic 1933 Goudey series. Ruth's amazing accomplishments brought an end to the "dead-ball" era and captivated a country with his larger than life personality while single-handedly launching the New York Yankees franchise to the level of a dynasty that would last for almost a century. Of course, any of the Ruth cards from the Goudey series, regardless of grade, would be a centerpiece in the collection of most hobbyists. The offered example boasts uncanny registration and well-defined picture quality with a clean lime-green backdrop surrounding the pinstriped Ruth, grasping one of his mammoth war clubs. The centering favors the left edge but the borders are a pure white, extending out to NM/MT edges and corners that raise the overall assessment. A strong representation of Goudey's "green Ruth" that barely stops short of NM/MT status overall.
