Almost two decades before Eddie Mathews became the last card of the legendary 1952 Topps series, fellow Hall of Famer Goose Goslin was presented as the final card of the extremely popular 24-card 1933 DeLong series. Now it would be incorrect to say that a 1933 DeLong Goslin is as difficult as a 1952 Topps Mathews in a PSA 8 grade because the truth is that it's harder ... much harder. There are 14 Mathews cards graded PSA 8. And Goslin? Only 3 have graded PSA 8 with none higher. Of course, if you're a world-class DeLong collector, you already know how nearly impossible it is to even find a specimen of this caliber much less land one for your collection. In fact, in the last decade or so, there hasn't been one offered higher than PSA 6. But here we go, baiting the waters with this unbelievable beauty to let the sharks have at it. Perfectly centered with extraordinary color and registration that is rewarded with true to form NM/MT endpoints, we can only sit back and see how determined our PSA Set Registry bidders are in adding a cornerstone card that will make a tremendous impact on any set's overall GPA.
