From 1927-1933, no pitcher dominated opposing batters more than Philadelphia ace Lefty Grove. Over those seven seasons, Grove posted an absurd 172-54 record, including a 31-4 season in 1931 (earning him the MVP award), while leading the league in victories and ERA four times and strikeouts five times. In 1930, he led the league in wins AND saves. Grove joins Pepper Martin as the only players in the 1933 DeLong series to be presented horizontally, and this amazing PSA 8 example is one of only 5 to reach the NM/MT level with none graded higher. Perfectly framed with upper-end NM/MT endpoints and a deep assortment of surface color that hasn't faded one bit since leaving the confines of the pack. If there's a better one out there, we'd certainly like to see it, because we otherwise don't believe it!
