This is one of those occasions where the technical grade of the cards does not match the aesthetic quality, and it just so happens to occur with a collection of ultra-enticing 1933 DeLong cards. Each of these prized pasteboards exhibits some uneven toning on the reverse that was taken into account, perhaps too harshly, when SGC delivered it's overall assessment. However, every one of the cards exhibits unusually fresh color and seldom seen, super-sharp endpoints. We have no reservations in offering an opinion that every one of these beauties appears at least a full grade ahead of its assessment and most are closer to two grades ahead. You simply will not find a stronger collection of DeLongs at this grade! Included are: SGC 60 EX 5 - #3 Melillo, 4 Terry, 8 Cuyler, 10 O'Doul, 12 Traynor, 16 Warneke, and 17 Martin. SGC 55 VG/EX+ 4.5 - #6 Cochrane and 8 Cuyler. SGC 50 VG/EX 4 - #9 Urbanski, 13 Maranville and 23 Grove.
