With Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig each clubbing 46 homers and combining for an astonishing 347 RBI, the 1931 New York Yankees won 94 games but couldn't overcome the historic season of the Philadelphia A's, who posted a ridiculous 107-45 record. The featured Spalding junior baseball is a keepsake from that amazing Yankees squad, containing a total of 22 signatures, including seven Hall of Famers. Of course, Babe Ruth dominates the sweet spot with smaller autographs above and below, while Gehrig's signature is easy to spot as the top autograph on the panel below the sweet spot. Other Cooperstown immortals are Dickey, Gomez, Ruffing, Lazzeri, Sewell and Combs. A light layer of shellack gives the ball a subtle glossy sheen. Full LOA from JSA.
