An early full body depiction of "Shoeless" Joe Jackson during his tenure with Cleveland, and likely developed during the late 1930s to early 1940s on double weight matte finish paper that is consistent with the period. The name of the subject has been very carefully inscribed in black steel tip pen at bottom right, giving me the impression that this colorized image or proof photograph was to be used to create some type of premium, book cover, or tablet cover of some sort. Measuring 8" x 10" in dimension, this unique and never-before-seen image of sorts rates easily at the NM/NM-MT level for overall condition. A great item for the true Joe Jackson collector.
