While it's not exactly discovering a new periodic element that will change the course of mankind, it's still gratifying to be able to confirm something only that existed only in theory. The R316 Premium 5x7 photo of Jimmy Welsh is listed in the Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards as "existence unconfirmed." Well, consider it confirmed! SCD has been notified and they are updating the status in their next edition as this is indeed the item in question and is offered in PSA 4 condition. As far as we or anyone else knows, it is truly one of a kind!
