Pressed into service toward the end of his Hall of Fame career, "Sunny Jim" Bottomley took these metal cleats to the field. Clearly worn down with cracks along the sole and several spikes missing, the shoes could easily be an attraction in the Baseball Hall of Fame, yet here they are. These come directly from the Jim Bottomley estate, passed down to the stepdaughter of Bottomley's widow, Betty.
