Measuring 6" x 7" at its most defining point, the offered Type I - 1st generation image of Joe Jackson has been cut down from its original size and definitely shows signs of handling. A 1" tear at the right edge is present as well as a diagonally torn bottom right corner, mentioned for total accuracy, taking little or nothing away from the central image, which is an up-close view of his face. A look of anguish and/or stress is evident, perhaps due to the recent hoopla surrounding the previous year's World Series. The reverse still maintains remnants of a news service caption, several notations, and an Oct. 18, 1920 date stamp.
