Graded NM/MT by PSA. Presented is an alluring yet fragile collectible of “The Christian Gentleman” Christy Mathewson that is superceded by a mere five examples that have been graded one level higher than the offered card. A precisely centered image of the great hurler is placed upon the this delicate paper stock candy caramel inserted premium. The color is in abundance highlighted by a beaming convergence of bold attention grabbing red used as a background as well as the stark whites of the uniform and the borders, the peachy flesh-tones of Matty’s face seemingly bring the card to life. The four corners shine as outstanding examples of the offered NM/MT grade with only the lower left showing evidence of the most minor blunting at the very extreme tip (mentioned solely for the sake of extreme accuracy.) The reverse is well printed with no evidence of staining apparent. A scintillating collectible offered in prideful NM/MT condition.
